We now have an all new chat service installed. The new chat room is better integrated into the forum and the number of members in the chat may be seen in the "Chat" tab at the top of every page. The names of members in the chat are also listed at the foot of the index page.

The old chat saw little activity in recent times and the new chat room is currently limited to five users at any one time. If demand is such that more members wish to use the service, then I will increase the number of concurrent users.

In order to kickstart the new chat, I will be loitering (with intent) from approx. 10pm UK time this evening.

If anyone has had problems entering the chat this evening, it was caused by an issue with the chat-server... which unfortunately is beyond my control. It should be resolved shortly.
