Andreas, my D.gigantea is in moist soil all year round, it never dies, but it never really thrives either, it stays quite small, nothing to write home about...... I guess due to the conditions I give it. I have never experienced my auriculata red going into dormancy, it too is kept wet all year round...
Just a few (happy) pictures.

Bonjour Amar,
oh, REALLY, your Gigantea never dies back? Mine did last year and made a daughter tuber.
I stored them in damp soil in a photo tin. Last year my plants had only unbranched stems. This year the bigger tuber has grown its first branches.
I´m feeding all leaves during growing period in the hope the tubers become bigger each season. Have a look in my gallery "The Latest 2013". I have harvested my D. stolonifera and D. ramellosa tubers a few days ago. You can see how the tubers benefit from fruit flies....hahahahahaha!
D. auriculata produces tubers while other plants all still in growth and they diligently produce daughter tubers, too. I think I keep them in this pot and soil until they are two years old...then I will have a look in the soil and hope to detect some tubers.
Au revoir
Andreas

Oh, yes, the gigantea dies back every year, always around right now, but it always comes back in late autumn/early winter!

Rename the file. It's "Sarra" that is causing the problem as it is interacting with a function of the site software.
